Chiropractic Q & A

How much does an adjustment cost?
We do not structure our fees on a per visit charge. Chiropractic is, in our opinion, best utilized with regular adjustments, similar to exercise one work out does not get you in shape, and typically neither does one adjustment. Based on your evaluation findings we will give you our best recommendation for your care. Care plans in our office range from $69-$299 a month. The frequency of your adjustments is determined by the severity and number of subluxations in your spine.

Will you adjust me on the first visit?
We prefer not to, here is why. Your health is our main priority. We would never risk your health without thoroughly evaluating the results from your first visit in our office. We have a minimum of 2 staff doctors review each case in our office. Your first visit we will collect all of your information along with any necessary scans and X-rays. We will then schedule a follow up visit in the next day or two to review the results of your evaluation, answer any new questions, and give you your first adjustment in our office!

Do you take X-rays?
Yes, we prefer to know exactly what is happening with the structure of your spine before we give you an adjustment. We also utilize post X-rays at certain intervals in your care plan. Most people report that they feel better after receiving Chiropractic care. We prefer to objectively measure progress in your spine achieved through care in our office, and the post X-rays are a great way to do this! Post X-rays also hold us more accountable to our Practice Members, and allows us to track the changes happening in your spine. Sith our specific atlas adjustment we have to take two very specific xrays to determine the most precise correction for your individual needs.

How many times do I need to be seen?
This depends on the severity of your subluxations, and the level of degenerative (arthritic) changes present. After your initial evaluation we will know the answer to this, and we will go over this with you when you return to go over the results of your first visit.

When will I feel better?
Everyone is different. We wish we could somehow predict how fast your body will heal, but there are several factors involved. Our focus is to remove any blockages to your body's nerve supply caused by spinal shifts called subluxations. All cellular repairs are controlled and coordinated by your central nerve system. Therefore, our goal is to maximize expression of life through the adjustment. How quickly this translates into you feeling better is different in each person based on things like degenerative changes, your exercise habits, stress levels, diet, and the number of medications you take, just to name a few variables.

Chiropractors are quacks! "I tried Chiropractic, and it didn't work."
Yes, there are chiropractors that are quacks, thieves and lunatics. However, there are medical doctors that are quacks, thieves and lunatics, but they "blend in" better. If you went to a bad dentist, you would look for another one rather than waiting for your teeth to fall out. If your plumber couldn't fix a broken pipe in your house, are you going to let your house flood? No! So, if you have been to a bad chiropractor, find yourself a better one. (P.S.: In cases where "Chiropractic didn't work," I find that 9 out 10 times, the Chiropractor wasn't even serious enough about Chiropractic and your well-being to take X-ray's and provide a detailed plan of care for you.)

Is Chiropractic dangerous?
Chiropractic is vastly safer than any drug or medical procedure. Chiropractic malpractice premiums are miniscule compared to those paid by M.D.'s. When a chiropractor makes a mistake, nothing (as opposed to a good result) happens, or one might end up a little sore. Compare this to these frightening statistics for the other team. It has been estimated that over 100,000 people die each year in this country from prescription drugs taken in the controlled medical environment, the hospital. About 2 million hospital patients a year (between 5 to 10% of the hospital population) acquire a nosocomial (from the hospital) infection, from which there are between 100,000 and 300,000 deaths. It has been estimated that there are between 3 million and 6.25 million unnecessary surgeries annually, resulting in between 40,000 and 83,000 unnecessary deaths. Prescription errors are skyrocketing.

How old or young should somebody be to receive care?
Our oldest client is 99 years old, and most weeks we adjust newborns as well. 30% of our practice is composed of children. This is because many of our Practice Members want their children to reach their full potential, and 100% nerve supply is an important part of that equation.
